All Praises are due to ALLAH, the Lord and the Sustainer of the whole universe. Praise be ceaselessly to Allah, Who created us and afterwards, has made us Muslims. We thank Him and seek His forgiveness and ask Him to guide us on the right Path.
As the Almighty has mentioned in the Holy Qur’an: “You are the best people ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Alma’ruf (Islamic monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al munkar (disbelief and all that is bad, evil) and you believe in Allah…”S3;V110. We are grateful to Allah (SWT) thanks to Whose help and guidance the WAMA has seen the light. In fact, as Muslims, far away from the motherland, we find ourselves in a different context (Europe) in which the practice of Islam is sometimes influenced by some realities such as the educational system (for children), family laws, etc. All this can or impact on us if we do not take serious precautions. These facts represent real concerns for our muslim community, mainly our offspring (children). Alhamdulillah, WAMA (a registered charity) is the organisation created early this year whose mission is solving this issue.
Allah ordained the Muslims to promote our Deen (religion) wherever we are. In the same way, the main objectives sought by the WAMA, is not only giving an Islamic education to our children and the entire Ivorian and other Muslims communities but also to acquire a place that will serve both as a mosque and a cultural centre for propagating Islamic ideals within our community at large and beyond . That said, the website is the communication plat-form which endeavours to inform, educate, entertain islamically the whole community both in French and English languages. However, as a new association we still have a long way to go and the tasks remain enormous. That is why we will be happy to receive contributions (whether it be financial, physical or intellectual) from all the Muslims. We understand that the involvement of the community is fundamental to attaining our assigned objectives.
May Allah help and guide us towards the achievement of the WAMA’s objectives.
